Muhammad al-Khatib in Audhahut Tafasir explained that Allah SWT has created man in the best form, gave him physical and mental strength, ordered him to do things that resulted in good for him, and forbade things that had a bad effect on him. He has given him the gift of reason, which can distinguish between good and bad, between glory and evil. He has told how to obey and be safe, and what the consequences of disobedience are. He has been gifted with reason and knowledge and the ability to distinguish between the despicable and the noble (Audhahut Tafasir, 750-751)
Every day we always meet with decisions, even silence is a decision. Every decision will bring consequences to us for tomorrow. Look back at our current journey, where will we go? Is it for better or for worse, or is it the same as before?
Make a decision and live with the consequences. The power of this decision can have a positive impact and can have a negative impact. Therefore, we need to be careful in making decisions, including the decision to remain as it is today. Negative decisions will bring negative things in our lives. Vice versa, one positive decision can open up various positive opportunities. That means, we have two choices today, are we going to make a decision towards a change? Second, is the impact of the decision positive or negative?
The conditions we are experiencing now are part of our decisions in the past. So we must immediately decide intelligently, what kind of life we want in the future. Remember that Allah SWT has equipped us with various gifts as well as hardware and software for it. Look at us! Really, so perfect isn't it?! We too have been given life guidance and knowledge, so don't waste it!
Microsoft, which is now used by almost personal computer users is the result of "Bill Gates" is the decision to pursue it, until he decided to drop out of his studies. Many people who are successful today are the result of smart decisions they made in the past. In fact, the book that is now in the hands of the reader, is also the result of the author's decision when he received an offer from the publisher to write this theme.
The conditions we are experiencing now are part of our decisions in the past. So, we must immediately decide intelligently, what kind of life we want in the future.
However, the decisions we make should be smart decisions and not random and naive. The decisions we have to make are decisions that will make our lives better and not the other way around. A student can go through college normally and graduate with good grades, because of his smart decision to always study hard.
However, on the other hand, other students whose college years were delayed or graduated with bad grades, because of their unintelligent decisions by spending their college years lazy. Even though he has a lot of free time that he can use to study and has the potential to be able to graduate with good grades and a normal timeframe. "Indeed, successful is the one who purifies the soul, and indeed the loser is the one who pollutes it" (Ash-Shams: 9-10).
It all starts with an important decision. Start from now, while you are still reading this blog. Think about the choices we will make, which will start a process. The potential of our choice is so amazing.
Our decisions can change our lives dramatically in a short time. Maybe who knows?
